BUT...still, if you take away the sidestand switch as hogryder described, the neutral light works fine. (My bike is American model). I see no point in that stupid switch. Also, I see no point in the clutch-switch, which still works fine. You did not say it clear enough for beginners, so I take myself the liberty of stressing the fact that even if you take away the sidestand-switch, you MUST pull the clutch ON AMERICAN MODELS ONLY to be able to start the engine. (And that is a pain in the ass if your choke doesn't work properly...)
